Ask your database a question. Get the answer, the chart, and the SQL.

AskData writes the query, runs it read-only, and shows its work, so you can check every number.

How it works

01

Ask in plain English

No query language, no dashboards to configure. Type the question the way you'd ask a colleague.

Which product categories have the highest refund rate?
02

It reads your schema and writes SQL

The agent inspects tables, columns and relationships, writes a query against your real structure, and repairs it if the database reports an error.

SELECT p.category, COUNT(r.id)
FROM refunds r JOIN orders o …
03

You get the answer, chart, and query

A written finding with the key numbers, a chart that fits the data, and the exact SQL to audit. Pin it to a dashboard or export the rows.

Safety

Built to be safe with your data

Letting a language model write SQL is only acceptable if it cannot do damage. Each layer below works independently, so one failing does not expose the database.

01Read-only database roleThe agent connects with its own Postgres role that has SELECT on the analytics schema and nothing else. It cannot write, and cannot see user accounts.
02Every query is parsed firstA real SQL parser checks each statement: one SELECT only, known tables only, no system catalogs, no dangerous functions. Anything else is rejected before it runs.
035-second timeoutPostgres cancels any query that runs too long, so a bad question can never tie up your database.
04Automatic row limitResults are capped by the server regardless of what the model wrote, keeping responses fast and bounded.
05Fixes its mistakes, never invents numbersWhen a query fails it reads the error and retries. If the data isn't there, it says so instead of guessing.

See it answer a real question against a live database.
